UC Irvine Standard Computer Configurations and Software

Medical Workstation:

Medical workstations are shared computers, usually 5-50 nurses, doctors, residents, and other health care professionals use to access the internet and common hospital applications. Group Policies limit PC functionality and application use and are typically located in nurse's stations and patient areas. Medical Workstations auto login with a preset username and password and have limited rights to the local workstation and network. Individuals are required to provide added credentials to access hospital applications and network resources.

Administrative Workstation:

Administrative workstations are typically UC Irvine support staff, and other administrative type users. They have a unique HS user name and password to gain access to the computer or network and are used by less than 5 users.
