Telehealth Services

Telehealth Services' mission is to enhance the quality and accessibility of health care, education, and research through audio visual communications technologies. Introduced in April 2009 as part of Information Services, Telehealth Services provides service, support, and solutions in the areas of  Telemedicine Technology, Audio Video Conferencing Infrastructure, Audio Video Integration, and Digital Signage Technology.

Telemedicine Technology

Telehealth Services provides comprehensive technology solutions to support telemedicine at UC Irvine. This technology includes medical carts, telemedicine videoconferencing, telemedicine stethoscopes, and exam cameras and scopes for live remote consultations.

Audio Video Conferencing Infrastructure

Telehealth Services maintains and manages audio video conferencing infrastructure which consists of the audio and video bridge, hardware endpoints, software endpoints, conference scheduler, and firewall traversal devices. For more information please see the Audio Video Support link to the right.

Audio Video Integration

Telehealth Services works with departments, integrators, and contractors to transform new and existing rooms into state of the art AV enabled conference rooms, operating rooms, and medical training simulation labs. For more information please see the Audio Video Support link to the right.

Digital Signage Technology

Telehealth Services provides the technology framework to get the message across using digital signage in key areas of campus. Depending on the area, the marketing department or the respective departments creates the layout and content.
