Research Computing

The Research Computing group provides free IT support and services to the UCI Health and School of Medicine research communities. Services include server acquisition, system setup and administration, application install and management, end-user support, data storage, and data security compliance.

We understand each research group and grant/project may have specific IT needs and we make every effort to find the most viable and cost-effective solution for your budget.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION

We support the following platforms: Windows, OS X, and Linux.

SOFTWARE SUPPORT

Application install, upgrade, and management are part of our standard service.

DATA STORAGE AND BACKUP

Our file servers are backed up regularly, with tape copy to Iron Mountain for disaster recovery.
