New Telephone Service

Submit New Orders
You can now submit new orders for telephone service for a workstation thought the service desk. To order, you must be a pre-approved contact authority, and supply billing Accounts or Cost Centers for service. Please allow 10 business days for your work to be completed. Most orders for Telecommunication products and services are placed using the service desk on line or by calling the service desk at 714-456-3333 option #1 These services include, New Phone Service, Phone Repairs, Voice Mail, Ordering New Fax Machines and Fax Repairs.
 
 
Time Line
Service requests are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. If you require service on a specific date, and want that date guaranteed, we must receive your order a minimum of ten business days prior to the date you submitted the work order. Expedited orders can be negotiated, but may result in additional charges.

Telephone Responsibilities
Every department is responsible for its own telephone instruments. Department members can obtain any style or type of instrument they wish, from us or any off-campus supplier. The monthly service fee includes no charges for telephone instruments, and all maintenance of this equipment is the responsibility of the department or individual who bought it.

When reporting the problem, please supply the following information:

  • The name, department, and telephone number of the person reporting the trouble, and of the principal subscriber to the service (if different). This will allow a repair technician to contact someone familiar with the details.
  • The specific location of the problem (e.g., the building and room number).
  • A description of the problem. This may be as simple as "I can't get a dial tone." The more information you provide, the easier it will be to isolate the problem.
  • If the trouble is with a telephone, we will need to know the phone model. 

Pricing
UCI Health departments are charged a monthly fee for telephone service, as indicated on our Pricing page. Included in this fee is the maintenance of most, but not all, components used to complete a telephone call.
