Mac OS X: Resetting your passwords in Keychain

To reset your passwords:

  1. Open Keychain Access.
    Located under the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.

  2. Unlock your Keychain if needed.

  3. Search your Keychain for any UCI related websites that may contain your HS password (diagram no.1).
  4. Double-Click any entry you like to change its password (diagram no.2).

  5. Click on "Show password" checkbox to view the password (diagram no.1).
  6. Authenticate with your Keychain password if needed.
  7. Updated your password (diagram no.2)
  8. Click on the "Save Changes" when done (diagram no.3)

  9. Repeat steps for each UCI entry.

To reset your keychain in Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.5, and Mac OS X 10.6:

  1. Open Keychain Access.
    Located under the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.

  2. From the Keychain drop-down menu, choose Preferences.
  3. Click General, then click Reset My Default Keychain.

  4. Enter with your account login password and then click the OK button.

  5. Quit Keychain Access.
  6. Restart your computer.

To reset your keychain in Mac OS X 10.3:

  1. Open Keychain Access, which is in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.
  2. From the Window menu, choose Keychain First Aid.
  3. Click Options...
  4. Click Reset My Keychain, which is under the General pane.
  5. Authenticate with your account login password.
  6. Quit Keychain Access.
  7. Restart your computer.
